Haitian Ministry of Health Asks Visitation Clinic to Distribute Vaccinations

Just recently, the Haitian Ministry of Health approached Dr. Jean-Francois, medical director of the Visitation Clinic to administer vaccinations.
"This is great news!" exclaimed Dr. Tom Grabenstein, medical advisor for VHF.  "Our mission is to provide health care and prevention for the people of Haiti, but we were asked by the Haitian government not to provide vaccinations, since this was a government function.  Now, we believe we have gained their confidence and will offer this service at Visitation Clinic."
The government will provide the vaccine and supplies to the Clinic.  The only request is that VHF designates a full-time nurse to do this.
At a recent Board meeting, the Board determined that we would choose one of the three nurses already employed to focus on vaccinating the community.  This is another step the Clinic is taking to work in collaboration with the Haitian government for the health and well-being of the community.
