Dr. Jean-Francois, medical director of the Visitation Clinic, travels back and forth to Petite Riviere de Nippes from Port-au-Prince, since Port-au-Prince is his home and he travels there from Fridays to Mondays each week.
Due to the tropical storm damage, his only route is to take a Tap-Tap (Colorful buses and trucks used by the general population for travel), which leaves him off at the city of Miragoane. From there, Dr. JF takes a boat to the other side of the river, then into another Tap-Tap into Petite Riviere de Nippes.
Other staff also travel to other cities over the weekend, but they are ready to see patients on Monday morning despite all odds.
