VHF Sends $4,800 to Buy Worm Meds in Haiti
Thanks to the generosity of a VHF donor, people in rural parts of Haiti will have access to drugs to eliminate intestinal worms.
Karen Jung, Clinic Administrator, said staff will be distributing worm meds not just at the Clinic site, but in chapels and schools in and around the outlying areas of Petite Riviere de Nippes. The meds will help those not able to make the trip to the Clinic and will provide a health benefit to the community-at-large. Men, women, and children all suffer from this intestinal illness. The outreach effort is just one of many community health benefits VHF will offer to the people of Haiti.
