Visitation Clinic Withstands Storms

Visitation Clinic continues to provide care despite all the obstacles.  After four horrific storms, the Clinic and town of Petite Riviere de Nippes, in southwest Haiti, has weathered the storms.
A decision was made to build a roof of concrete rather than metal, and this decision has protected the Clinic from damaging winds and rain.   Not so far down the road in Petite Riviere, a high school was not so fortunate.  The winds from Gustav ripped off sheets of metal from the school's rooftop.
Regardless of all the rains, the Clinic continues to stay open to provide health care.   However, roads are currently impassable and no one can either leave nor enter the city.
Despite all obstacles the Clinic is increasing its services to provide food, medications, purified drinking water, and community vaccinations.
